This experience is designed for people who already have some basic sea kayaking skills, can swim, and feel comfortable doing several hours of physical activity. If you’re more experienced, you’ll enjoy it just as much: the route is planned so that every participant — from those with little experience to the more advanced — can enjoy the journey, improve their technique, and discover Ibiza’s coastline in a stunning natural setting.

This circumnavigation of Ibiza by kayak begins in Es Figueral, at our center, paddling north. We use sea kayaks designed for long distances: stable, fast, and built to last for several days. The itinerary is adapted to the weather to ensure safety and flexibility throughout the journey.

During the trip, you’ll paddle alongside Es Vedrà, navigate among the islets of Ses Margalides, explore the wildest northern coast, and experience unforgettable sunrises on the east coast and sunsets on the west. You’ll also discover sea caves steeped in history, accessible only by kayak.

Guides, logistics and experience

The tour is led by certified kayaking instructors with extensive experience on kayak routes in Ibiza. You’ll paddle during the day and sleep in quiet coves at night, either in bivouacs or under awnings.

All logistics are included: food, water, route planning, navigation equipment, and shared gear. Meals are prepared en route using quality and local ingredients when possible. You only need to bring the essentials for the kayak trip and your sense of adventure.

Is the kayak trip around Ibiza suitable for beginners?

This kayak trip is designed for people with basic sea kayaking skills. It’s a demanding activity, with 6 hours of paddling per day. Many active and adventurous people manage to complete the trip, but if you have experience, it will be easier.
If you have no experience, we recommend that you first take a specific basic sea kayaking course. You can do it at our centre right before your trip.
Physical condition: An acceptable level of physical fitness is required to undertake this trip, as well as a desire to stay in a natural environment.

Can children or minors participate?

For safety reasons, the kayak tour around Ibiza is designed exclusively for adults. It is required to be a confident swimmer and comfortable in open water. However, depending on the child’s prior experience, a child’s participation could be considered.

How many days does the journey last?

The standard kayak trip around Ibiza lasts 8 days (7 nights). We also offer the option to extend the trip to 11 days, which includes a visit to the neighboring island of Formentera.

Is the journey guided?

Yes. The entire route is guided by certified kayaking instructors with extensive experience in kayaking trips and in-depth knowledge of the Ibiza coast.

The starting point is our center in Es Figueral. From there we begin the route, circling the island in a planned direction according to sea conditions.

You sleep in quiet coves, in bivouacs, or under awnings. Overnight stays are in natural settings each day, always respecting the environment.

Yes. We include food, water, tea and coffee, route planning, shared materials, and navigation equipment. Meals are prepared en route by the guide using quality products, and where possible, local ingredients are used.
