Both watching the sunset and kayaking are two of the best things to do on Ibiza!

This Friday 12th May we will depart from Port des Torrent beach in San Antonio on to the sea for our afternoon adventure. We always start with an introduction to kayaking on the beach, paddling techniques, tour itinerary and a quick introduction to get to know who we are paddling with!

Next we glide out to sea and follow the coast coast to the west – towards Cala Bassa. Along the way we pass old wooden fisherman huts that some are still in use today! The rock formations in the cliffs around Cala Bassa are amazing, swirls and plates locked on top of each other. This area is also abundant in caves! In fact on this route we visit one of the best in the whole island. It has an entry point via the sea and land, meaning we paddle through a large whole in the rock and come into a “cave room” which you can exit and find yourself on the coast next to the beach! It’s beautiful! A must-see!

Like always we stop at the midpoint for a break and some snacks.
Then we head back out onto the Mediterranean Sea to watch the mesmerizing Balearic sunset. There’s no better way to see the sun disappear into the water than by floating on top of it in a kayak!
